One Product, One Promotion, One Marketing

I have a moratorium on learning anything new, because the shiny object is where revenue goes to die. Sell six figures of one thing before deciding it doesn't work.

One clear path, walked all the way

I said something in a room full of AI consultants that made everyone uncomfortable: I have a moratorium on learning anything new. No new tools, no new platforms, no new funnels-of-the-week, because every shiny object derails me from actually making money. The discipline I run instead is brutally simple: one product, one promotion, one marketing channel. Until it works.

I have a moratorium on learning anything new.

Why the moratorium makes money

  • The fancy stuff does nothing without a funnel, and the general, basic sales funnel gets you paid every single time. Most people don't have one; they're just out here posting haphazardly and calling it marketing.
  • Sell six figures of one thing before you're allowed to say it doesn't work. Most offers get abandoned at the first quiet week, not disproven.
  • You could sell with a Google Doc. Truly. The offer and the audience matter; the tech mostly flatters us.
  • Learning new tools FEELS like work, that's what makes it dangerous. It's procrastination wearing a productivity costume.

The confession that sells the point

I hold myself to this in public: when my own newer offers stalled, the honest diagnosis wasn't effort, it was that my funnel for them was unbuilt while I was busy being brilliant elsewhere. The fix wasn't a new platform. It was finishing the boring machine: one offer, one repeatable promotion, one channel done daily. Master that loop and you'll earn the right to be distracted. Almost nobody exercises it, because by then the loop is printing.

Common Questions

Why do businesses stall on new tools?

Because learning feels like work. A moratorium on new tools until the current offer sells protects the revenue-producing work from productive-looking procrastination.

How long should you sell an offer before changing it?

Long enough to prove it. Most offers get abandoned after a quiet week rather than after being genuinely disproven.

What matters more, the funnel or the technology?

The funnel. The basic sales funnel produces revenue reliably, while most people are posting haphazardly with no path from attention to payment.
